Build real-time data solutions for clients. As a Senior Data Engineer at LINKIT, you'll use the latest technology to create impactful, scalable data architectures.

Job description

Building tomorrow with today's best technology. Working at LINKIT is about pushing boundaries. Discovering, developing, sharing expertise, and continuously seeking improvement. We combine long-term strategic thinking, deep enterprise experience, and a people-focused approach to help clients transform their business processes and dominate their industries. Every day, more than 1,000 of our people from 20+ countries work on critical technology at companies like the Ministry of Defence, KLM, and ASML.

Big enough to make an impact, small enough to stay connected

The digital revolution revolves around one thing: data, and in unprecedented quantities. As a Senior Data Engineer at LINKIT, you'll be at the helm of this transformation. We build the advanced data architectures that enable real-time information provision.

Your role as a Senior Data Engineer at LINKIT

You’ll be working on complex, data-driven solutions for leading clients. At KLM, for example, we’re building a real-time application for cargo data analysis using GCP, Kafka, and Spark. For KNMI, we manage the central AWS cloud platform, and at Audax, we’re guiding a migration to InfluxDB for real-time processing of energy pricing data. Within our team of 20+ Data Engineers, you'll work with cutting-edge technologies on projects that make a real impact. What you’ll be doing:

  • Design and build scalable data platforms and pipelines using Python, Java, and Scala.

  • Transform complex datasets into actionable insights that support decision-making.

  • Work with modern tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Airflow, and cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure).

  • Optimize data architectures that support critical business processes.

  • Collaborate closely with data science teams, anticipating their technical needs.

  • Create robust, future-proof solutions with direct business value.

Job requirements

What you bring to make an impact

Given the complexity and scale of our data projects, we’re looking for a strong blend of technical expertise and hands-on experience. You bring:

  • At least 2 years of solid Data Engineering experience, ideally with ML/AI integration, or a strong ambition to learn it.

  • An analytical mindset with creative, smart solutions to complex data challenges.

  • Proficiency in Python and/or Scala, and strong command of SQL.

  • A collaborative spirit, you're open to feedback and enjoy sharing your knowledge, whether about data architecture or the future of AI.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and data tools such as Airflow, Databricks, and Spark for building ML-ready infrastructure.
