Club day at the Mendix Squad
Every 2 weeks, all our colleagues come together at our head office in De Meern. The club day is all about sharing knowledge, learning, and connecting with colleagues.
At the Mendix Squad, everything revolves around growing better together. The atmosphere within our squad is open and engaged: everyone counts and feels at home. It's no coincidence that this comes through strongly in our employer survey.
Clubday Update
We kick off together as a whole company. During the club day update, you hear what's going on at LINKIT and where we're headed. That way, you always stay connected to the bigger picture.
Squadsessies
Then you go deeper with the Mendix squad. We share insights from projects, developments within Mendix, and everything that touches our field.
Expedition
This is where it happens. During the expedition, you work on your own development and that of the team. From AI and security to design and compliance. You build apps, write blogs, and share knowledge that makes direct impact.

Een voorbeeld uit de praktijk
Tijdens de clubdag laten Explorers uit alle squads zien waar ze bij klanten aan werken. Zo deelde ons Data Engineering-team deze case. Eén datapipeline kostte een hightechproducent €470 per dag aan cloudkosten, en dat bedrag groeide elk jaar mee met het datavolume. De gangbare reflex is meer capaciteit inkopen. Het team koos voor het optimaliseren van de software: eerst meten wat elke verwerking kostte, dan de kritieke onderdelen herschrijven en alles testen onder realistische belasting. Het resultaat: €7 per dag voor dezelfde pipeline, 56 miljard records per dag op één server, en een besparing van ruim €168.000 per jaar. Zo leert de hele organisatie van wat één squad uitzoekt.

Tot 10% van je tijd
Als consultant besteed je tot 10% van je werktijd aan je ontwikkeling, en de clubdag is daar een vast onderdeel van. Zo kun je een opleiding gewoon tijdens je werk doen.
Onbeperkt opleidingsbudget
Wil je jezelf verder uitdagen? Dan pak je door met trainingen of certificeringen. Technisch, maar ook voor je persoonlijke ontwikkeling.
Clubdag en je opdracht
Soms kan het voorkomen dat je op een clubdag toch bij de klant aanwezig moet zijn. Dat stem je af met je manager of business lead. We kijken dan samen naar een ander moment, zodat je ontwikkeling wordt uitgesteld en niet afgesteld.
